From Concept to Design...

Doing a new thing…with open eyes, heart, mind and spirit, following a quest that has been set before us to explore the concept of floral displays as a form of liturgical design the same as religious paintings, sculptures and stained glass.

This program is designed for the individual who designs flowers for their church or who wants to learn this specialized floral art form. Although the format is designed for the Christian church it is Ecumenical and the concepts can be modified for any denomination or worship space.

Students will begin to discover the power and spirit of liturgical floral art in this two-day, hands-on workshop as they explore liturgical symbolism and interpretations of biblical scriptures and themes. They will also develop creative concepts and design techniques that will help make the written or spoken word visible through the use of this art form.

Class dates: To be announced

Tuition: $350.00

Tools Needed: Each student will be required to bring their own working tools; design knife or shears, wire cutters, and pruners for woody materials. It is suggested that you bring a camera to record your work and progress.
