2017 Floral Design Curriculum 

Basic Design 1 This class will study the care of flowers, pricing for profit, theory and the design process, elements and principles of design, basic design styles, design mechanics, wiring and taping techniques, bow making and general shop management.

Basic Design 2 This week you will work on sympathy tributes: casket sprays, baskets, set pieces, etc. Continuing with wedding designs: bouquet holders, hand-tied bouquets, corsages and wedding consultations.

Natural Design This program will focus on lines, color, mechanics and design techniques for creating natural looking designs. Prior design experience is not required to attend this program.

Euorpean Design European free standing tied arrangements are designed to stand on their own in water without the aid of floral foam. Flowers and foliage are bound to a free standing structure that serves as a structural base that is one of a kind design.

Altar Flowers This program will focus on church altar flowers from simple designs to concepts for large displays. It is open to the general public, individuals who design flowers for their local church and professional florist.
